Groundwork Project - Middleton Circus
Groundwork Leeds and Aire Valley Homes working with the Middleton Regeneration Partnership have been helping the Middleton Community Group to come up with a design to improve Middleton Circus for everybody. Thank you to those we have already spoken with.
Below are details of the next two phases, which are currently underway. We hope you are happy with progress so far. We know that not everybody finds plans easy to read and that a plan can’t answer all your questions so if you want to know more please get in touch.
We would expect the disruption associated with this phase of the work to last no longer than six weeks.
After consulting people in the area these phases aim to deliver an avenue of trees to link the circus to the park, better pedestrian and cycle access, improved car parking, and street furniture. Future phases aim to provide better road crossings and potentially a piece of art work.
If you would like to know more or get involved with the process it would be great to see you at the Middleton Community Group at their monthly meetings at St Cross Church on Middleton Park Avenue. Here you can meet, discuss and influence the future of your Middleton with agencies, councillors and service providers. A large plan will also be on display in the Aire Valley consultation bus when it visits the circus.
